It's been quite some time since poor Sid Phillips was viciously ganged up on and traumatized by Woody and the gang. November will actually mark the 27th anniversary of Sid's encounter with the violent, suckling, playthings come to life. Why don't we take a stroll down memory lane so that we may finally see who the real villain is here.

What in the ever-loving f**k!? What is that teaching kids? That bullying is okay? That scaring the sh*t out of someone you don't like is OKAY?

Alright lets back up a bit. Based on what we see in the first film, Sid's dad is just some guy who sits in his recliner all day. A deadbeat piece of sh*t. We also gather that he pretty much just ignores his mom.

This kid is neglected, troubled, and the last thing he needs is some living toys to add more trauma to his life.

WHY WERE THE TOYS ALIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE??? I don't have the time or the stamina to delve into that question today.

But like, damn. Lest we forget that Sid was genuinely exploring his career options!

A. Doctor

B. Rocket Scientist

C. Army General/War Hero

Unfortunately Sid would never get to become a doctor, or a scientist, or a war hero. Nope. Instead, Sid's life took an absolute nosedive after his altercation with Woody and Buzz.

It's easy to see why he'd slip into a depression the way he did. Would you believe a kid who kept rambling on about toys coming to life? Don't think so.

You think cancel culture is bad now? Look what it did to Sid Phillips in 1995.

Sure he has a paying job, a strong work ethic. He's always had that drive. But he's stuck picking up other people's garbage in the mornings, and sitting in therapy sessions three times a week.

So next time you're looking to cancel someone for their actions, why don't you take a long, hard look at the facts first.
