If there's one thing we've learned in recent years it's that whenever anything becomes great it's bound to be ruined.


Such was the case today with IGN's acquisition of Humble Bundle. 


For a long time Humble Bundle has been a way for us to get some games on the cheap while contributing to charity so we can feel good about our addiction to consumerism. That will likely change now that it's morphed from a small-scale concept about gamers to being corporate run.

Humble Bundle argues that "nothing will change", but we've seen this time and time again with bad results. And since IGN has a track record of doing things that gamers don't like, it's hard to imagine an outcome where this isn't a bad thing.
