Simoniz Fix It, only fixing the scratches it makes itself...

This product is a big scam! I'm pretty sure most of you by now have seen the commercial of ol' Billy Mays screaming his head off at you about the product that supposedly revolutionizes car scratch removing. WRONG! What this product basically does is just color the scratch to match your vehicle. It'll be fine for light scratches, but not for the deep ones like it claims. It doesn't fill in the scratch and "completely remove it" at all! I had used it on several scratches I got from changing my flat tire in pitch black, and was semi-satisfied with the results. Well some days had gone by when I noticed some asshole had keyed my front hood! So I took out the Simoniz kit and put it to work and I started to think, "Maybe if I use more cream and apply a little more pressure it WILL fill in the gap..." So I did and well it basically bleached the paint around the scratch! At first I thought maybe it was too much cream and that it would wash off but no, after 3 washes it's still there. It's not very noticeable but from different angles you can see a spot that stands out and can see where I scrubbed it. The little "magic pen" isn't very magical at all, it actually scratches the area around the scratch. Oh but the cream WILL take care of those, yeah, no problem.

So I ofcourse called them up and I get nothing but a computer. I read the return policy it came with and it says you can't return a product after you open it. But how the hell am I supposed to know if it's going to work if I don't use it atleast once?! I just decided to let it go, you live and you learn I guess. I just wanted to spread the word and maybe save some of you who were maybe considering buying it $55+.

Oh, and no it didn't come with the "free" extra pads, the shipping for the product costs almost as much as the product itself, the "free" vacuum is free alright but the shipping is like $12. The vacuum works pretty well, about as well as you would expect from a "free" vacuum. You have to go over an area like 8 times for it to clean it. They also annoyed me with like 20 different offers which I had to say no to like 3 times before they're computer shut up about it.

Yesterday I did some homework and found that none of Billy's items seem to work too well, so I would recommend boycotting him altogether...sorry about it being so long, I thank anybody who takes the time to read it all...lol
