I'm a huge music fan, but when it comes to many local acts I just can't get over the fact that people sing so horribly and don't care what it sounds like. Do they hear themselves? What do they think about their own singing?

I am a singer in a band and god knows I am the most critical of how I sound. I typically do covers and I try to mimic exactly what they actual singers do and spice it up with my own improvisation.

Is it too hard for these singers to attempt singing lessons?

Anybody have any good examples of good bands that have horrible singers? I am trying to prove a point to friends...
