Hey everyone. sorry its taken me so long to write another blog. I've just been super busy!!

So, anyways, we always have people come into my grocery store and try to steal. I dont really care if its some college kid doing a beer run because i think that its just funny. But two days ago, we get this girl in my store, who happens to be 15, and her boyfriend who looks in his twenties. not really a big deal. well, they are both pretty scruffy looking, and they are total hippies.

Now, we happen to sell dvd's at my store. So these two people walk up and decide to steal 200$ worth of dvds. And they would have gotten away with it too, if it hadnt have been for scooby and those pesky kids! haha jk.

so they are walking around the store with a ton of dvds, and the next thing i know, the dvds are no longer in their hands. So i naturally assume they put them into their hippie bags they are carrying. Now, we have a policy against stopping anybody before they leave the store. We want to make sure that they have stolen it.

So i stand by the door, and the second the leave, i ask them to hold on. Now the guy takes off, but the girl stayes where she is. I didnt chase the man, so he got away.

However, this girl, who is probably 5 foot 3 inches. weighing like 110 lbs, asks what she did. i take her bag and take her to our manger. She has ALL the dvds. She waits in our office, and the like, 4 police show up for this one little girl. i like how when you REALLY need help, they cant come. but one girl steals, and a whole squadron shows up.

Anyways, the police come and put her in handcuffs. she tries saying, and i quote, "i know my rights, you cant search me, you cant go through my stuff, you cant even touch me"

Most people dont realize that when are are still a minor, your rights are very limited. so the detain her in the police car for about an hour until her mom shows up tp come and get her.

That was pretty much the highlight of my week so far. If anyone else has some cool work stories, please post a blog!!!
