My family is Danish. Every year on the 23rd of December we have a party called Lille Julaften (we say it: "Little le loften") I guess it means "Little Chrismas". When I asked my dad to explain what it is an why we celebrate it he told me: "we celebrate it because it's a family tradition and because it's the day before the day before Christmas." I know that we really don't need much of a reason to celebrate but I was still curious. The best he could explain it is : "we celebrate celebrating" Which I took as just another reason to drink.
