Older and Peaked.........

Many years ago I didnt think it would be possible for me to reach the age of 35 let alone the age of 52. My God I am old, and those people who say you are as young as you feel are just kidding themselves or just flat out telling lies. I am not saying you cant feel strong or even "FEEL" young but your body just doesnt hold up like it used to. I can remember the days when I could drink a fifth of Jack and take whatever mind altering drugs that happened to be around and finish the night off by stopping at a chili place and downing 6 or 7 cheese coneys. Today I can drink a few shots of booze and go to that same chili parlor and eat 3 coneys as long as I take my meds (not the good ones). My father talked of a corner he rounded and knew his life had peaked or rather his health had. I will be peaking on the 12th of Feb. or really I think I peaked last year but either way this is not a pity party but rather a look at life from another age. Today I had a big day, after a crueling breakfast it was time to read some and then answer mail and by that time it was nap time (eat your heart out). I did bills and then had dinner at 4 pm and I am tired again but the thing about a "peak" is that its down hill not the other way around where you have to walk up the hill.

I often wondered when my father talked about this "peak" and would I know. The thing is I do know but its not the bad thing I was afraid of but rather its acceptance. That is the key and I am OK with it so when you young whipper snappers talk to me Have some damn respect. lol

Due to budget cuts, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.

What if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.

Thanks for reading Bohank

PS talk to you all soon
