The ancient people where obsessed with they sky, moon, stars, sun ect right? I have been wondering lately that when a asteroid/comet ect. hit the moon, would they have seen something and recorded it. I have no clue what or if they would be able to see anything. If they where I'm positive they would have written about it somewhere (if they could at the time). I just wanted to hear your thoughts on it.


I guess my point is could this help us get a take on how old the earth actually is, or is it totally useless.
