How To Write Interesting Blogs

There's a lot of new bloggers in the section, which is nice, since recently there hasn't been much blogging going on, compared to what this place used to be, for example, 2 years ago. I guess it's a cool idea to write down some tips for the new bloggers, so that they would learn from my blogging experience.

I've written hundreds of blogs, and trust me, unless you write about important matters, have writing skills (write coherently and not boring), and have your own opinion on things, your blogs will suck ass and won't get much views.

Here are some important things you need to be aware of when writing a blog:

1. Write about interesting and fresh topics. Discuss current events but in a creative way, don't write obvious crap.

2. Don't steal other people's articles. What's the point of blogging if you copypaste someone else's shit? It's called plagiarism, by the way.

3. Have your own opinion on things. If you support a president, or you don't agree with something, don't be a wuss. Say it out loud. Who cares if some dork might not like it?

4. Don't care about the haters. There will almost always be butt hurt idiots who can't write as good as you, so they'll go over their heads to try and get your attention. This may include

a. 1starring your blog from dozens of alts by the same person

b. writing hateful comments from a bunch of accounts, where the user seems to have only registered for the sole reason of commenting on your blogs

c. the more psychotic haters will actually have a conversation with their alts in your blog, most probably to convince your readers that somebody agrees with them

5. Low rating doesn't matter. If you think that because you're getting a low rating, people don't like your blogs, guess again. The more 1 star ratings you get, the more importance your words haver. Make a simple calculation - if a feature with 100 000 views gets around 100 votes then why did your blog with only a fraction of those views (a few hundred views which might be one percent of 100 000) get over 100 votes? Obviously someone spent hours 1starring you.

6. Rating DOES matter. The number of votes, actually. The more votes you get, the higher your articles are on the POPULAR list. Shit load of 1 stars makes the article controversial, therefore it shows up as popular. Popular means more views. More views means more subscribers and fans who agree with you and like to read what you write.

7. I'm making a cartoon goblin design and I might be getting money if they buy it from me. Big money. The thing is, I'm not a nerd and I don't play many video games, so I don't know what goblins do. I already drew his face, and it's like a cute goblin, but I need a goblin joke or a goblin catch phrase. So like ReaL_gaLganush gave me one that's rather cool. It goes something like "Once you go goblin, you walk away hobbling" but I want something PG-13. Is there something characteristic goblins do? Be sure to write that in the comments.
