If you thought Armored Combat was exciting, we were only just getting started. Picture this: drag racing, but replace the cars with tractors. Now, soup up those tractors with all the power they can handle. Then, replace the racetrack with a rice paddy. Boom, you’ve got Thailand’s hottest sport: Rice Tractor Drag Racing.

In a video posted last month, CB Media showed just how awesome the sport can be, with dudes ripping through rice paddies at incredible speeds.

Much like any other racing sport, people are gathered along the sidelines to drink, the tractors are properly decked out and the drivers will (on occasion) employ safety gear like helmets and leg padding.

According to The Drive, the vehicles seen in the video aren’t the only ones used to race: “Most of the racers compete with stand-up rigs with the engine and driven wheels up front. However, a few have built low-slung dragster-like machines in a variety of configurations, complete with steering wheels and transmissions to boot.”

Rice Tractor Drag Racing joins the pantheon of other incredible Thai sports, such as Muay Thai and, of course, River Boat Drag Racing.

It may be a little janky, but we can all agree that it’s no weirder than some of the sports we have here.
