Modern grindset bros are obsessed with learning tricks and tips from millionaires and billionaires. Of course, the real trick is to be born into money and connections, but that’s not an option for everybody.

One such ‘billionaire’ conducted an interview with The School of Hard Knocks TikTok, where he was asked about his assets, portfolio, and investment history. He came off sounding like a seasoned and down to Earth businessman. Except, a few people felt like something was off.

“I looked at the history of board of directors,” @davidbelle_ tweeted about the man’s claim that he had been an original investor in Snapchat. “And he's not there.”

It didn’t take long for other viewers, and Twitter’s community notes, to recognize him as Traveon Rogers: A serial fraudster and con man.

“He should host public speaking classes cause he SOLD that story,” Brandito commented.

Soon, Rogers’ arrest history, past schemes, and even a personal victim anecdote were available for all to see in the video’s comment section. And while nobody could blame him for deceiving a hustle TikTok interviewer, his criminal record was less agreeable. He’d even posted videos of himself “singing” while lip-syncing and had an entire fake football and track and field athlete profile.

So no, this man is definitely not a billionaire. But if you speak well, it looks like you can convince just about anyone that you are. Especially the desperate grindset bros.
