Being a DoorDash driver sounds like an easy job — until you realize it means dealing with the kinds of people who order food at three in the morning.

Sure, we’ve all been there. You’re hammered, you’re hungry, and so you order a pizza to your apartment. Perfect. The way the system was designed to work.

However, the ability for everyone to have a delivery at their fingertips means that people have begun using them for all sorts of nonsense. Now, there’s another use of DoorDash that’s making the rounds: spycraft.

In a post on Reddit, OP reposts an image that’s been making the rounds through driver circles. The image shows a request for an order of candy bars, but in the directions section, the driver is requested to “check if u see a silver cadillac car park in the parking lot please.” At least she added a “please”!

Why would someone do this? While some claimed that there could be an innocent explanation, others had a bigger idea: The order was a subtle way of figuring out a partner was cheating.

Commenters weren’t thrilled about this idea. “That tip is too fucking low & im not helping some stalker who probably has an order of no contact, otherwise she’d check herself,” wrote one. “$5.00 for a private eye. What a steal.”

That said, some Uber drivers said these missions aren’t uncommon.

“I’ve had this kind of stuff more than once. Or I’ve picked up passengers who practically leap into my car like an action movie and scream at me to hit the gas like they’re running away from a hitman or some shit,” explained a commenter. “Except they’re actually just racing over to their girlfriend’s or boyfriend’s house because they’re pretty sure they’re cheating and they want to catch before the person leaves.”

If you’re trying to catch your partner cheating, at least have the decency to do it yourself — or just be sure to leave a fat tip.
