On May 6th Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a royal baby. I know, didn't we fight and win a war to not have to give a shit about royalty anymore? That's not the story. The story is that today they announced the name of their new son, and it's easily the most pompous British sounding name ever: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The kid was probably born wearing an ascot and making fun of the size of someone's yacht.

If you say “Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor” three times in a row a prep school kid appears and tells you his father is buying him a Jaguar for his 16th birthday— Jason O. Gilbert (@gilbertjasono) May 8, 2019

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is absolutely the name of the dude in every Edith Wharton novel who sits in the same opera box as the protagonist and is always making comments like “when did Pearl return from Paris anyway? As an American, one thing that's kind of reassuring me of my innate British stereotypes is how upset some people are that the baby is named Archie and not Archibald.
when you hear archie isn’t short for archibald...it’s just archie pic.twitter.com/qQq8TMEVFM— spindles (@itspindles) May 8, 2019

Then there's always the people who think they would love to take a crack at naming the baby themselves:
