One Korean influencer’s recent livestream took an unexpected turn for the terrifying on Tuesday, the AfreecaTV creator inadvertently capturing the harrowing aftermath of the mall shooting in Bangkok, Thailand.

Moments after taking a sip of her beverage at what appeared to be one of Siam Paragon Mall’s several eateries, the influencer’s meal — and that of those around her — came to a screeching halt as the sounds of screaming and gunshots echoed throughout the high-end shopping locale.

Upon hearing the commotion, the streamer quickly sprung from her seat and began sprinting towards the exit.

“What's happening? What is this? Why? Why?” she screamed while running towards the door, per one Redditor’s translation. “It’s a gun!”

Though it appears the creator was fortunately able to make it to safety, the influencer taking a seat on an outdoor bench as she caught her breath, the shooting ultimately left two dead and five others injured, CNN reported.  A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.

We only hope that any American schoolchildren watching this video take away one very important lesson — it is very much possible to run, hide, fight without ever putting down your phone.
