Ever wonder what Marie Antoinette would be like in 2023? Look no further than TikTok’s resident noble-baby, Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck.

Since uploading her first behind-the-scenes vlog depicting Dior’s 2022 Paris Haute Couture Week show last July, von Donnersmarck has gone where no TikToker has before, offering an unparalleled glimpse into the champagne problems of a modern noble.

“Get ready with me for a ball in Spain,” the 20-year-old Dior intern casually intros one of her more popular clips before lamenting how her gold embroidered floor-length gown may not be “formal enough” for her upcoming gala as it’s “too short” to be a “classic ballgown.”

“At least it’s not the type of short I usually get in trouble for,” she joked.

@lara_cosima Its kind of more a help me pick an outfit than a grwm and i still have time before to get a new dress #fashion #outfitidea #grwm #dior #gossipgirl ♬ original sound - Lara Cosima

As people several have come to realize, von Donnersmack, the daughter of film director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and a member of the Austo-German House of Henckel von Donnersmarck, is more than her fashion clips and her John Jacob Jingleheimer Shmidt-esque moniker.

Between these get ready with me videos –  all exclusively set in a pastel yellow rococo-inspired room – and her ultra-luxe vlogs detailing her hitting the town to visit her favorite member’s club and visiting Aruba for spring break, von Donnersmarck’s “old money aesthetic,” and, well, life, have cemented her as one of social media’s most popular – and divisive – figures.

While several of her TikTok commenters have heralded her admittedly enviable high-end style – “giving Targaryen,” added one commenter on her ball video, another dubbing her ensemble as “so lovely!” – others on both TikTok and Twitter, have taken a more classic “eat the rich” approach to von Donnersmarck’s clips.

“Blood money purrr,” wrote @iamjustamachine in one of the Dior intern’s most popular videos.

“Have you heard of Robespierre?” joked @rosegoldroy.

“Yeah parents are ALWAYS going to polo marches in Paris am I rite?” added @Fhddjmdzv.

“TikTok needs to stop showing me clips of the literal Austro-German noble girl who’s interning at Dior in Paris I don’t need to see people living like this it’s bad for my psyche,” posted Twitter user @Eric_Erins.

“I’m happy for her that she gets to live in a Louis XIV apartment and go to balls in literal palaces but I don’t need to be seeing this,” they elaborated in a subsequent post.

“I want to see her walk into a Walmart,” commented @jennylove120598 on her dinner party clip.

“Lara Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck will never know the joy of 7/11 slurpee day,” added @longjawnsilv3rs.

So while we may not have access to Parisian high life or luxury fashion, one thing is certain – we (probably) won’t have to run from the guillotine (in Minecraft).
