Though content creator Logan Paul and MMA fighter Dillon Danis aren’t set to face off until Saturday, the two couldn’t help but turn a press conference into their own personal boxing ring, with Danis swinging at the YouTuber leaving him bloodied.

Their melee began on Thursday when the pair hit the stage together at the Misfits Boxing pre-fight press conference, the final one before the scheduled brawl. After several moments of tense back and forth, Paul even tapping To Catch a Predator icon Chris Hansen to call out Danis on his penchant for posting photos of the internet celebrity’s fiancée, model Nina Agdal, the pair failed to keep it civil.

Paul hurled a water bottle towards Dannis, prompting the fighter to swat his opponent with a microphone, landing a hit to his face before the event’s security separated the two.

Despite drumming up a whole lot of PR for their impending showdown, Paul’s trainer Milton Lacroix said there’s a decent chance the pair’s impromptu beatdown could jeopardize their fight this weekend.

“Right now, we going through hell [sic],” he explained to USA Today. “He got hit in the face. His eye’s cut. So right now I’m just bugging out right now, just trying to find somebody. There might not be a fight.”

That may be for the best. After all, why drop $54.99 on pay-per-view when you can watch the duo scrap for free?
