Have you ever visited Chipotle and found yourself wishing that instead of serving sterilized Mexican food, they served delicious BBQ instead? Your prayers may have been answered. Either that or Redditor sniperbuzzcut is trolling. If so, it’s an incredibly impressive troll, TBH.

Sniperbuzzcut took to r/Chipotle to share a fairly unique experience they recently had at their local store. They wrote, “My local chipotle had mac and cheese, ribs and mashed potato this week. Like in an aluminum dish that they had in the serving area. They said it was a ‘special’ and that that happens sometimes. I’ve never seen it before. I suspect the employees are selling their own food out of the Chipotle.” For those wondering, “The mac and cheese and ribs were really good — they still did it in the bowl and some people were getting it in burritos.”

The saga doesn’t end there, however: There are a whopping five edits to the post. Firstly, OP sent a note using the contact form on Chipotle’s website complimenting them on the BBQ food and received a quick response asking if OP had time to hop on a call and if OP could share the store’s location. At this point, OP said they weren’t going to reply because they love their local Chipotle.

In the second edit, they said that the Chipotle representative reached out again and said they are testing new menu items in certain markets and again asked for the store location, this time so they could ask how it was going. OP believed this for some reason and gave them the location and told everyone in the comments calling them a Karen or a narc to relax.

In the third update, OP shared that they returned to the store in order to enjoy the delicious mac and cheese again. Or as they put it, “There was a manager there so I asked them about it, and they looked at me like I had two heads and said, ‘This is Chipotle.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I had great BBQ here earlier this week. Is it going to become a full-time thing?’ Once they realized that I wasn’t kidding, they looked really surprised and acted kind of weird and just said, ‘No, it’s not something I’ll see again.’”

In the fourth edit, OP said they would be calling the non-emergency line for the police after people pointed out the legitimate health concerns around people bringing in and selling outside food. In the fifth edit, they said they would now be considering their legal options after being sold food falsely labeled as Chipotle food.

Honestly, once you’ve read the entire thing, it definitely sounds like a troll post, but it’s incredibly entertaining, and OP’s commitment to the bit is impressive. And for those wondering, here’s OP’s description of Chipotle’s BBQ offerings: “The mac and cheese was like really cheesy. Like gooey almost? Like a Velveeta but thicker. And the ribs tasted sweet like Sweet Baby Ray and were pretty big. The potato was just potato really. Idk how to describe it differently than that.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m sold.
