Though you may have been worried about the environment high, obsessed with Planet Earth high, or eat 3 PB&J’s high, you’ve likely never been as high as one wannabe robber, who was so high he forgot to ask for money during his heist.

According to recently filed FBI documents, Richard Hampton of Canton, Ohio found himself just that zooted earlier this year, purportedly pounding so much crack before robbing a bank that his note to the teller read "give me the" and “gun,” without even mentioning his desire for cash.

But even with this critical omission, the teller still got the message, handing over $723 as well as a tracking device, per local news outlet WCHSTV. Hampton was ultimately arrested and charged with bank robbery.

So take it from this would be robber’s tale of teller woe — if you’re gonna rob a bank, save your crack as an after-heist treat.
