Though we may not know how many teamsters it takes to change a lightbulb, it only takes one to nearly turn a Senatorial hearing into a WWE-style smackdown.

Oklahoma Sen. Markwayne Mullin attempted to bring back the tried-and-true political duel during a hearing on Tuesday, challenging International Brotherhood of Teamsters president Sean O’Brien to a fight over several months-old tweets in which the union leader denounced the republican lawmaker as a “clown” and a “fraud.”

“Sir, this is a time, this is a place,” Sen. Mullin said, referencing the June post in which O’Brien said he’d fight him “Anyplace, Anytime.” “You want to run your mouth, we can be two consenting adults, we can finish it here.”

Naturally, O’Brien obliged.  “I’d love to do it right now.” he fired back. “You stand your butt up, then,” the lawmaker fired back.

“You stand your butt up, big guy,” the union higher-up countered.

Yet as the pair began preparing themselves for a Capital Hill smackdown, Mullin even appearing to remove a ring from one of his fingers, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders had enough of their bulls—t, doing his damndest to reinstate order in the committee room.

“No, no, sit down! Sit down!” the two-time Presidential candidate admonished Mullin, shooting him back to his seat. “You’re a United States Senator!”

While it’s unclear who would have won the battle sans Sanders' intervention, one thing is certain — to paraphrase Rolling Stone’s Miles Klee, we’re living in a “WWE-ass country”
