As icy temperatures continue to send large swaths of the United States into sub-zero temps, New Jersey’s minor-league baseball team, the Trenton Thunder, offered a glimpse at just how frigid the Garden State had become, uploading a clip of an unknown woman doing her darndest to get the ice off of her windshield.

In an apparent moment of desperation, the woman, who has yet to be publicly identified, treated her silver SUV like she was at a heavy metal concert, headbanging with all her strength as she furiously slid the ice scraper back and forth.

Though this extreme — and probably Metallica-approved — approach was ultimately futile, her windshield still coated in a thick layer of ice as she came up for air, her efforts did not go unnoticed.

“She gave it all she got and still nothing,” wrote @Savyy714, while several others saw the broader metaphor in her dedication.

“Me trying to get out of debt in America!” joked @EmbalmerWithPMDD.

“OMG, me with any minor inconvenience,” added @Melissa.

No matter how desperate you may be to rid your car of ice and snow, this woman is more desperate.
