Airports are never fun places to be during the holiday season, yet a recent trip to New York City’s LaGuardia Airport was particularly brutal for 13 Reasons Why star Tommy Dorfman, who claimed two Delta employees repeatedly misgendered her in a now-viral terminal takedown.

While it’s unclear what prompted the verbal tussle between the actress and the airline workers, tensions were already running high when the camera started rolling.

“You just misgendered me again,” Dorfman said to a handful of employees stationed outside of what appears to be a gate. “Multiple times. Both of you have.”

Though an employee named Tristan reiterated that he didn’t mean to use the incorrect pronouns — “It wasn’t intentional, but if you want to take it personally, that’s also OK” — Dorfman wasn’t convinced, alleging another woman had intentionally misgendered her.

The worker, however, was not having it, calling her condescending and insisting she quiet down or find another way home — or wherever she was headed — for the holidays.

“If you want to continue, I’ll have Port Authority escort you out of the building right this moment if you want to play that game with me,” he said. “Would you like to continue three days before Christmas? I really don’t mind.”

While it’s unclear whether or not Dorfman got kicked out of the transit hub, she left the confrontation less than pleased, heading to social media to express her frustration.

“When you try to advocate for yourself at @delta and are met [with] even more transphobia and threats of being arrested at LaGuardia,” the actress wrote in a now-deleted social media post. “Didn't realize it was condescending to flag a human rights violation after another employee misgendered me incessantly.”

We can only hope that Dorfman got where she was going and everyone involved got to drink a bunch of very-high ABC eggnog. They clearly needed it.
