Video 1444 is a suicide video by Russian VK user Bleb Korablev who shot himself in the head with a rifle during a live-stream on October 17, 2019. Here is everything we know about the video.
- On October 17, 2019, 18-year-old Moscow lyceum No. 654 student Gleb Korablev started a live-stream on Russian social media network VK.
- During the live-stream, Korablev took a Saiga semi-automatic rifle and shot himself in the head.
- Before shooting himself he warned someone to not notify his parents right away and referenced a Russian suicide meme before taking his life.
- Here is what he said: "Nikita, if you'll tell the parents [about this] too quickly, I'll get you from beyond the grave. I know that you have their phone number. Anyway… How does the saying go? Nyan, bye!"
- His motives are currently unknown.
- Based on how long the video lasts, the police arrived 2.5 hours later.
The suicide video was quickly spread throughout various Russian VK groups as well as Russian imageboard 2ch. Although the video was pulled down from VK the now-deleted YouTube channel GORE reposted it with the title "1444".
Apparently the reason it is named 1444 is to avoid YouTube detection bots.
It received over 150,000 views in just three days before YouTube took it down. However, that was too late. The video spread through various social media channels. It even came to the point where people were posting warnings on not watching the video. Twitter user @irkepoc is one example of these warnings:

I know the video is now a few days old and has been talked to death. But I just wanted to clarify some background and info I picked up. The man's name was Gleb Korablev, he was an 18 year old university student in Moscow, Russia.

There's lots of translations and people trying to understand what he said, but most people don't exactly know what he said. What is conformed is that the last part before he pulled the trigger he said "Nya" and "Paka" which is goodbye in Russian.

The gun he had to his head was an assault rifle and not a shotgun. The full gun is shown before he sat down in extended versions of the clip. The rilfe is shown to have a magazine and and same shape as a assault rifle depicting an AK47 or an AR15.

As to why there's a lag in between the shot and the blast from it. Most assault rifles are very quick to fire and very deadly upclose in point blank range.

As to what is happening and what's going on, it is not all fully known what had happened to drive Korablev to suicide.
He had been streaming early morning on October, 17. At around 9 am he pulled out an assault rifle, sat down, said a few words, and committed suicide on stream.

The reason why Korablev committed suicide is still unknown. But if some of the translations translate correctly, it seems he was talking to someone; presumably through his stream or through his computer since no one is ever seen in the video.

His last words are loosely translated to,"I'll get you from the other side. I know you have my number. Okay, don't think too bad of me. What was that saying? Ah, right. Nya! Bye!"

She explains that it had received popularity because a YouTube channel by the name of Gore had uploaded it for the pure purpose of attention and to be edgy. His upload of the video has been taken down. The reason he named it 1444 is to avoid YouTube detection bots.

In the video she further explains the "curse" that comes with the video. The video is not cursed or hunted.
This is because of the skepticism of the video, many people don't know if it is real or not and don't take it seriously. This sparked creepypastas and memes. This is why people post the numbers 10-20-2019 or 10-19-2019
