Unlike aliens, ghosts, witches, or even, God, dinosaurs were real beings that roamed our planet 225 – 65 million years ago. Believing in the aforementioned requires a leap of faith, but believing the Earth has been around for millions (billions) of years is an objective fact.

That hasn’t stopped a staggering number of skeptics from questioning whether dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Take Alex Bennett and Jordyn Woodruff on Barstool’s Mean Girl podcast, who struggle to talk about the subject.

“Do you think dinosaurs were real and existed, or do you think they were… methodical (mythological) creatures?” Alex asks.

They go on to wonder if the Tyrannosaurus rex was “the one that flew,” and are surprised to learn that a T-rex is the same dinosaur.

Outside of the world of podcasters, Twitter user @MilfParade shared a story about a co-worker's struggles conceptualizing our Dinosauria predecessors.

Even in a comment section chock full of people laughing at the thought of a dinosaur doubter, plenty of others voiced their agreement with the co-worker. A skepticism of narwhals also seemed to be a common position.

Choosing not to believe in something with loads of irrefutable evidence simply because you can’t conceptualize it yourself goes against being a logically thinking human being. But then again, there seem to be fewer and fewer of those every day.

We use cell phones, fly on planes, and get sick from bacteria we can’t even see. The majority of us have no idea how any of those things happen, but we accept them because they’re right in front of us. Dinosaurs aren’t ghosts, they’re reptiles. And they were very, very real.
