Capital punishment, also known as the death penalty, is the execution of a person by the state as punishment for a crime. Crimes that can result in a death penalty are known as capital crimes or capital offences. The death penalty is the ultimate denial of civil liberties. In the past 35 years, 129 inmates were found to be innocent and released from death row.
What is your stand with this issue?
Some people believe that no crime should be paid with crime regardless of the offense while others do not want to pay the price for a criminal's offence by keeping them alive.
