The Illusion of Time in a Quantum Mechanical World.

Not wanting to get technical and probably lacking the skills to do so, I'll just write out my idea with no proof, credibility or sources. It's just some idea that kept me from falling back to sleep and I decided to write it out here for the record and hopefully get some feedback or be told, it's already been done or theorized by some obscure physicist who died with a broken heart.

Time is indeed a measurement to define a moment in space. It is but a tool man has developed to measure those happenings in space. But time is not a thing, because all happenings already exist. If there is a future, then it already exists. If there is a past, then it too exists as does the present. It's like a giant onion with very fine slivers of happenings existing all at once. All these moments are connected together by some unknown medium, possibly dark matter or maybe the elusive Higgs boson particle.

All the events that have occurred , are occurring and will occur all exist and we as humans are limited to a very thin layer of the onion by our limited brain, our chemistry, daily challenges, fears, superstition, lack of spiritual exercise and limited resources. There is a way to travel to any point in the onion by some technological means not yet discovered because all particles are connected by some kind of super highway who's configuration allows any particle to be at more than one happening.

Outside of the onion there are other onions or what some might call parallel universes that have happenings similar to ours but are different by some means. I've heard some physicist theorize there are parallel universes for every possible outcome of our decision making process, but as fantastic as that might be, I cannot intuitively think that mankind's thought processes are the levers  that configure the universe. Perhaps there is a consciousness that we are a part of, but at this layer of the onion,   we are an incomplete set and are incapable of harnessing that which created the universe or universes?
