Known to Trekkies as the omnipotent Q in "Star Trek" and to soap opera fans as Eugene from "Days of our Lives", John de Lancie was brought on to play the villain, Discord in a 2011 episode of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". Show creator Lauren Faust admits the character was written with the character of Q in mind. -
