There are a lot of ways to tell the time. We started with, well, 'how high is the sun?' and have worked our way through sundials, church bells, grandfather clocks and digital alarms all the way to the smart phones we all use to discover just how late for work we are. But there are many, many more ways to measure the passage of time.
