2023 has been a year filled with fails, facepalms and general gaffs. From the first expulsion of a sitting member of Congress in modern history to the infuriating trend of influencers filming themselves at the gym, there was plenty that left us no choice but to put our face in our hands this year.

Do you remember the proposed cage fight between resident billionaire egotrips Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg? The idea was originally Elon's, but he quickly found himself in a tough spot when the Zuck responded with "send me location." Despite the size difference, humanity's alien has youth and loads of real martial arts training on his side, and Elon was forced to come up with some excuses. I don't know what's a bigger fail; two of the most powerful men in the world threatening to settle their differences through fisticuffs, or the fact that they never followed through with it. 

Speaking of combat training, one viral video from this year showed a Brazilian swat instructor running back and forth through a live firing range, while his students tried to shoot around him. It's about time law enforcement practiced avoiding civilians, but there has to be a better way to do it. Here are the worst fails and facepalms of 2023.
