Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner are kicking up a fuss after their photos were used without their permission to promote an extremely worthy cause – the #StopViolenceAgainstWomen campaign.

Although the pair said that they are in total support of the fight against domestic abuse, they do not condone the use of their images for promotion. -

The paparazzi snaps were originally taken at the Valentino Fashion Show in Paris back in 2014: -

And at Kendall’s Victoria’s Secret book launch in the same year: -

However, the stills were then edited by artist and activist AleXsandro Palombo, depicting the sisters with bust lips, black eyes, cuts and bruises, accompanied by the caption: “Life can be a fairytale if you break the silence. No woman is immune from domestic abuse.” -

But it would appear that these women want to be immune from helping raise awareness of domestic abuse, at least until they have signed off their photos. -

They were initially posted to Palombo’s Facebook account drawing attention to the fact that domestic abuse is still extremely prominent in 2015, especially amongst the female population – 85 percent of victims are women. -

He said in his post that a staggering 1 in 4 women worldwide say that they have experienced domestic violence in their lifetime. He wants to raise awareness of these figures and help sufferers speak out. -

Although the sisters are well in their right to choose if they would like their personal images to be used, and they have both said that they back the cause, it doesn’t feel right that the media spotlight is once again being cast over the high-profile family, when our eyes should be on the campaign.
