A Washington State Trooper struggling with an investigation gets some help from Reddit.

1. Recently, Washington State Trooper Johnna Batiste decided to ask Twitter for help solving a hit and run that resulted in the death of a cyclist.

4. This mysterious broken piece of plastic was the item she needed help identifying.
5. The tweet ended up on the sub-Reddit thread ‘What is this thing’ and one users quickly responded with more information.
