12-year-old Alex Anderson in Dix Hills Long Island was knocked to the ground by William Conte, after allegedly trying to throw a dead snake into a car with Conte's wife and children. Conte was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and harassment.

According to Alex, the incident began while he was riding his bike with his friends, and noticed that a woman was filming them. He decided to film her back, and was then attacked by her husband. A neighbor had a different view of events, saying that Conte was defending his wife and children from harassment, and that the children were trying to throw a dead snake into the car. He also added that they had been intentionally disrupting traffic with their bicycles for weeks.

Despite assaulting a minor, many people are siding with Conte. "Caption should read, 'good samaritan teaches young teenager boundaries,'" says one commenter. "If you're going to prank strangers that is the risk you take."
