Airplane lavatories – places of hover-squatting over the dirtiest toilet known to man, (definitely not) secretly hitting your Juul, and a romantic place to pop the question?

On Monday, June 26, TikTok discovered the myriad of uses for aircraft bathrooms after a clip of a mid-flight marriage proposal began making the rounds on the platform. Depicts the groom-to-be getting down on one knee, waiting for his SO to emerge from a trip to the restroom with a ring and a band of passengers holding signs reading “Will you marry me?”  – a question to which his SO ultimately said yes – the video garnered mixed reactions.

Though some heralded their happily-ever-after as proof that love is – quite literally – in the air, per the video’s caption, others were horrified, detailing how this sweet moment could have easily ended in disaster.

“Imagine taking a dookie and walking out to hella ppl recording you,” joked @divinecinnamyn, before describing the proposal as “dope.”
