Movies are great at getting things wrong
, and one of the areas they tend to fail at is portraying video games.
For some reason, almost every movie that has characters playing video games
incorporates them in the same lazy completely unrealistic way.
They make gamers flail the controller around like it's trying to escape, and they tell them to put on the most exaggerated faces as possible. They also use stock video game audio that makes it sound like all they're playing the same Atari
game from 1912.
