With the number of self-driving Tesla fail videos around the internet, it blows my mind that there are completely legal, and driverless taxi services on the west coast shuttling people around.
We've already seen self a driving taxi get stumped by a traffic cop, and a self-driving food delivery robot get run over by a train. Now, another taxi has decided to quit on the spot and ignore green lights.
@klwtts was stuck in the back of a Cruise taxi when it decided to stay stopped after a red light turned green. On the phone with customer service, while a driver beeped from behind, @klwtts eventually decided to just end his ride and get out.
"If this was my first ride, I would never use them again," he said.
Customer service for anything is always a slow and frustrating process, and having to troubleshoot a malfunctioning car on a public road in real-time is any anxious person's worst nightmare.
"That gave me so much anxiety just watching it," @StaticKittyKat
commented. "I probably wouldn't ever get in a cruise car again after that."
