Out-of-Control Segway Terrorizes Small Town as It Spins In Circles For Five Hours
Getting hit in the ankle by a razor scooter has long been considered one of the most painful experiences known to man, right alongside biting into a fresh hot pocket, and stepping on a Lego in the middle of the night. But what about an out-of-control Segway spinning in circles at maximum speed? Well getting hit in the shins by that can only mean certain death.
That's exactly the situation a few guys found themselves in when a man fell off his Segway, folding it up, and leaving spinning at maximum speed.
“That thing's a shin killer,” ashmeow55 commented.
According to the Segway Ninebot website, Segways have a maximum speed of 12.5 mph. That's quite a lot when headed straight to the bone via a metal rod. They can also travel 14 to 18.5 miles on a single charge. One man near the self-propelled helicoptering scooter yelled that it had been going for four to five hours. In that time, it defeated a broom, a shovel, and more trying to slow it down.
Eventually, it takes a plastic tarp and a brave man to stop the spinning.
"And that, kids, is why paper beats rock..." Chicky_P00ts joked.
