Hellena Taylor, the voice actor of the Bayonetta character in the popular Nintendo series, recently went viral on social media posting a video calling out PlatinumGames for offering her $4,000 dollars to voice the character in the upcoming third installment of the Bayonetta video game.

The video has surpassed 10 million views and has been reposted multiple times with a large amount of support for Taylor and her dismal pay rate.

However, a source that was cited in a Bloomberg article that wants to remain anonymous for legal reasons says that the offer was $4,000 per hour and up to five sessions.

That would make Taylor's pay upwards of $15,000 to $20,000. The source says that Taylor countered the offer with a six-figure payment and residuals for the game sales. Although, Taylor said that these claims are "categorically untrue" and "an absolute lie, and a complete joke." She says that PlatinumGames is trying to save their asses.

Taylor says she has suffered from mental health issues following this change in career, stating this shift has caused her severe depression and anxiety.

After her video post, Taylor was met with overwhelming support including multiple other voice actors claiming they have been treated poorly in the past for their own work.

Hideki Kamiya, PlatinumGames president, said that the claims of Taylor's negotiation were untrue and her allegations were, "sad and deplorable," but temporarily restricted his Twitter account over the weekend for fear of harassment.

Taylor was quickly replaced with voice actor Jennifer Hale who was asked to comment on the controversy but said, "Anyone who knows me, or has followed my career, will know that I have great respect for my peers and that I am an advocate for all members of the community.” She said she has signed an NDA about any ongoing discussion about the game.

Taylor wrote earlier this week, "I would like to put this whole bloody franchise behind me quite frankly get on with my life in the theatre."
