Earlier today, Nancy Pelosi and a group of Democrats put on traditional African garments known as 'kente cloths' and gathered together to take a knee in solidarity for George Floyd and Black Lives Matter protesters.

The stunt was supposed to help them curry favor with voters and protest movements at large, but it wasn't received that way at all. Instead, Pelosi and her colleagues became a symbol for tone-deaf politicians everywhere.

Nancy Pelosi isn't known for always being able to read the room, and that inability was on full display here today.

Now we'll just have to see which low-level staffer gets blamed and fired for this truly pointless idea.
